Rachel tells Awakening, “I started karate in October 2000 instead of going to counseling. I’m a very private person and at that time talking to a stranger was not an option. My Doctor was fully behind the decision and it turned out to be the best thing I ever did. I really believe martial arts is for everyone and incredibly beneficial to your health and well-being. More than just the fitness aspect, you can release pent up emotion and gain a fantastic support network.”
