Venus Smith Muay Thai
Thanks to Venus for helping us out with info for the Venus Smith Awakening Profile.
Venus Smith is an amateur Muay thai and Kickboxing fighter from Brooklyn, New York. She fights out of Kings Combat Fitness under Dave Wai Moy and Andrew Rivera. Having started competing just two years ago she can already boast the impressive record of 9-0-0! Last year being a particularly good year for her, she won the WKA National Championship in March, followed by the IKF World Championship in July and the WKA World K1 Championship in October!
We asked her about how she got started and she replied...
"I started muay thai when I was 27 years old in October of 2012. I was looking to get into a hobby in combat sports peaked my interest. I did some research and decided to do Muay Thai. I found a school not to far from my job and took a free class, signed up and never looked back."
