One of the most exciting features on the Awakening website 2.0 is the new Global Martial Arts Event Calendar. As far as we're aware, it's yet again a ground breaking and ambitious move from Awakening. The idea of the calendar is to list as many martial arts events around the world as is physically possible for our little fingers. Much like a lot of the other new features on the website, we are calling for you, the user, to get involved and submit your events… and it's free!
What do you get out of submitting an event?
The simple answer is exposure. We're guessing that the most important thing for you is to sell tickets to your event? If the answer to this is "yes", then how do you sell tickets? No doubt you publicize your event on Social Media and possibly print posters for your local communities. While these should obviously be your first strategies when selling your event, our event calendar should be looked on as another means to be utilized by promotions and clubs.
It's first strength is that it is fully optimized for search engines. Time and time again, we try to search for an event in Google and little or nothing comes up because the event has just been shared on facebook. Our calendar changes that, and your event details can be found. Not only are they able to be found, but the user can see at a glance all of the things that help you sell a show; the ticket price, the location, a contact number to buy the tickets. We're not offering you guaranteed ticket sales, but we are offering you free publicity with a professional polish.
What does Awakening get out of your submission?
We get increased website traffic, which in turn benefits the events listed. Submitted events also save us time from search the internet for upcoming shows, which frees us up to maintain the calendar and the website at large.
Guidelines
All you have to do is fill out our "Event Questionnaire" and email us at events@awakeningfighters.com. Bare in mind that we only list events that have a minimum of one female fight on the card. An event poster is also required for your listing
