Ruth tells Awakening, “I started Kickboxing at the age of 8yrs old (1997) at the Ying Yang Club in Malta under Master Noel Mercieca. I started practicing this sport as I wanted to do something after school. As the number of girls were almost non existing I used to compete with boys (winning all my competitions with boys (around 5 fights)). I still practice this sport there.”
