Two women’s boxing world title unifications are set to take place this Friday, August 20th at the stunning Sycuan Casino Resort in El Cajon, California. Promoter Lou DiBella has put together a ten-fight card, four of which are women’s bouts. You’ll be able to catch the event as it’s streamed live on UFC Fight Pass, starting at 8:00pm PT / 11:00pm ET.

“This is another highly significant card dominated by some of the best talent in women’s boxing. On August 20, from Sycuan Casino Resort, two super lightweight world title unifications will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass…” said DiBella, President of DiBella Entertainment.

“There are already discussions of the winners of these bouts entering into a tournament to crown an undisputed champion,”

“Alma Ibarra and Kandi Wyatt vie in the ‘Thrilla For CasKilla’, a welterweight world title eliminator to become Jessica McCaskill’s mandatory challenger. Mexican heavyweight prospect Elvis Garcia will also compete in an exciting men's bout on the broadcast.”

Kali Reis vs. Diana Prazak

At the top of the bill, Kali Reis (17-7-1, 5 KOs), from Philadelphia, PA, defends her WBA Super Lightweight world title for the first time. Her opponent is the well-respected Diana Prazak (14-3, 9 KOs), a former world champion from Australia.

The 10-round bout also has the divisions vacant IBO world title up for grabs. In terms of recent form, Reis captured the vacant WBA Super Lightweight world title against Kandi Wyatt in a dominant unanimous decision back in November 2020. Prazak on the other hand fought as recently as March this year against Milagros Gabriela Diaz in which she won in an equally as dominant unanimous decision. Prazak had returned from a six year break!

It’s for bouts like this that I especially get that betting itch. I’ve been doing this for over a decade now, and I am still amazed that women’s bouts rarely make it on to betting sites. Believe me, I have been searching. I did find a website however that I thought was worth sharing, for anyone with a like mind. You can get boxing tips on OC and it shows a host of current sign up offers throughout the industry.

Jessica Camara vs Victoria Boelia Bustos

The co-main event is for the vacant WBO Super Lightweight world title, between Canadian Jessica Camara (8-2), and Argentinian Victoria Bustos (21-6). Camara is coming off a unanimous decision win against Heather Hardy back in May. Bustos’ last fight was a majority decision victory against Maria Soledad Capriolo putting her into a two fight win streak.

Camara takes the place of Mary McGee who had to pull out due to knee injury.

Alma Ibarra vs. Kandi Wyatt

A bout dubbed the “Thrilla for CasKilla”, an 8-round WBA world title eliminator in which the winner becomes the mandatory challenger for Jessica McCaskill, undisputed world champion. Alma Ibarra (8-1, 4 KOs), of Mexico faces Canadian opponent Kandi Wyatt (10-2, 3 KOs). Wyatt is coming off of a loss against none other than Kali Reis in a thrilling world title challenge November last year. Ibarra on the other hand is coming off an impressive upset victory against Maricela Cornejo in March.

Olympian Jennifer Chieng makes her professional debut

Finally, Jennifer Chieng of Micronesia, and Olympian during the 2016 Olympics is preparing for her professional boxing debut. Chieng has competed in professional MMA for Invicta FC and Bellator.
